FINAL EXAM-TERRORISM CLASS-SUMMER 2011
The final exam is to be completed by 6:59 PM on Monday, August 15, 2011. This is an open book exam, and you may refer to your text or class notes at will. This is an exam for adults and the opinions and views of your fellow students should not appear in your exam answers. You are honor-bound to complete the exam as a product of your efforts alone.
You may choose to prepare your exam prior to the August 15 class session. Also, due on August 15 is a term paper of approximately 2000 words, Be prepared to explain your position in you paper with a 5 min. class presentation. You may choose any subject within the framework of the class material. It is, however, suggested that you might wish to discuss varying kinds of terrorism and to what level of resources we may dedicate to combat terrorism.
Also be reminded that the makeup assignment on a chapter of the "Art of War" was due on August 1. And if not yet turned in is overdue.

Familiarize yourself with the general background and history of Sun Tzu and select one of the 13 chapters from his treatise on "The Art of War". Write a two or three page report using new times Roman 12 point type on your selected chapter, with particular emphasis on why text written 2,500 years ago is studied by business, government and even sports executivies has relevance in dealing with problems of conflict between peoples of divergent opinions. Son Tzu's work has been studied by generals and heads of state and revolutionary activists desiring to achieve a societal change.
